Thirty years based in the heart of the City of London has enabled Michael Else and Company to develop close working relationships with the shipping and insurance sectors. For much of this time our core business has concentrated on the management of marine mutual clubs.

In recent years, and in response to the ever increasing demand from ship owners, operators and charterers for quality fixed premium cover, we have demutualised our former clubs.

Our two brands, The Charterers P&I Club and Transmarine now operate as fixed premium products, without exposure to supplementary calls. Most importantly, despite the demutualisation, our clients still receive the high quality of service upon which Michael Else and Company has built its reputation.

Servicing clients requires a high degree of technical and practical expertise and 'hands on' management. Our compact and highly skilled team enables us to focus more effectively on our clients' needs. Many of our staff have maritime backgrounds and the Company is as much a part of the shipping industry as it is of the insurance market.

Our service overseas is enhanced by a long established and extensive world-wide network of P&I correspondents and partners. This network provides our clients with immediate access to expert local knowledge and keeps rates competitive, as we do not have to operate expensive local offices. Specialisation and a sound understanding of the shipping and insurance markets are the main keys to our success.
